Each puzzle consists of a 9x9 Sudoku grid containing areas surrounded by dark borders. The object is to fill all empty squares so that the numbers 1 to 9 appear exactly once in each row, column and 3x3 box, and the sum of the numbers in each area is equal to the clue in the area's top-left corner. In addition, no number may be used in the same area more than once.
The game includes helpful features such as showing possible sum number combinations in an area and pencilmarks to make temporary placement of numbers in the grid. To help see the puzzle progress, graphic previews in the puzzle list show the progress of all puzzles in a volume as they are being solved. A Gallery view option provides these previews in a larger format.
For more fun, SumSudoku contains no ads and includes a Weekly Bonus section providing an extra free puzzle each week.

I have more hours on this than I do on some actual AAA games. and I haven't even finished with all the free levels yet. its a great sum-sudoku app.
Had this game for years. It's still the game I obsessive play the most. Simply cannot put it down. Ever. Update 19/09/2026: Aaaand here I am downloading it again for the howmanieth time. Case in point!!!
It's a good game but the choice of background colors makes it harder to solve.
I Like Sudoku
almost perfect but I ended up uninstalling it bc it doesn't have a setting for instant error notifications. I'm messy when entering and if I don't notice right away, I'm having to hit undo 422 times to clear an error. I prefer it tell me in the moment because having to undo a ton over a typo demotivates me to solve the thing. Add the setting, perfect app. ETA: ok and I ignore spoilers and solve as usual.clear errors is still undoing a ton. I like an app that lets me decide. So I downloaded one.
Best Sudoku with sums (KillerSudoku). Some really hard puzzles esp. the Killer pack I purchased to support the app. The only improvement I could suggest is UX to highlight a number. Sometimes you need to press the number cell once, sometimes twice in some cases even 3 times.
