Input controls for mobile GeoGebra apps are unbelievably terrible. - Parentheses are incredibly frustrating: don't accidentally delete the wrong parenthesis (i.e., the closing instead of the opening)! It will completely erase what you have inside that expression without letting you undo. - Can only select the WHOLE in-/output cell?? (there's no obvious way to edit start/end of selection??) Makes copy/paste very limited, and touchscreen input is tedious as it is.
Excellent calculator. Previously I was using "Maxima On Android", which seems to be abandoned by the developer. Now GeoGebra CAS can serve the purpose well. Although, Maxima On Android" had Maxima CAS as its backend with decent programmable capabilities. It also had an LPP solver, a probability calculator, statistical calculations, etc., but GeoGebra CAS is not far behind. One thing I like about them is that they actively develop their programs. I hope they'll have their Maxima app someday.
🙏👍
Undoubtly Geogebra doesn't need further presentations, and this is probably the best CAS you can install on a mobile (if you need do more serious things, turn on computer and, Geogebra is not renamed as a CAS for professional mathematicians) , HOWEVER, I dislike so much that is almost disappeared the possibility to save offline the own works. Come on guys, this is a mobile app, it is not used for making reasoned works to share online, I use it while playing at racing games XD
At first glance it looks very promising but rearranging equations (my very first test) 60x^2 * (x-5) - 30 showed up as the end result instead of 60x^3 - 300x^2 - 30 (like every CAS calculator TI or HP does - of course I want the x^3 form). With "solve(y=above equation,y)" it works but it should work all the time. Why is the app (and online too) doing this? Ok. With expand() it works. I'm getting used to it.
Not super useful for advanced level work. Awkward keyboard entry and cursor navigation, along with poor performance and only simple functions about the level of basic calculus or semi-advanced algebra.
