"Learn to tell time: kids read and set a clock with a gentle voice guide. No ads."

About this app

Clock School helps kids learn to tell time on an analog clock, one small step at a time. Made for ages 6 to 8, children turn the clock hands with their finger until they can read the hours and minutes on their own.

Every sentence is read aloud in a gentle voice, so even children who are just starting to read can follow along by themselves. Kids learn in a garden made of blocks, alongside a little blue bird and animal friends.

■ Learn to tell time, step by step
- The two hands (what the short hand and the long hand do)
- O'clock times ("3 o'clock")
- Half past ("3:30")
- Counting by 5s
- Minute by minute
- How much later? (time passing)
- Clock master (a review of everything)

Every lesson starts with a short, friendly explanation, followed by questions such as naming the hands, reading the clock, or setting it by moving the hands. One lesson a day, about 5 minutes, is plenty.

■ Mistakes turn into learning
- Hints match the slips kids really make (for example, reading half past 4 as "5 o'clock", or reading the long hand on "4" as "4 minutes").
- On reading questions, after two mistakes, the app helps with the answer. On most of them, it goes through the hands together with your child, and your child taps the right answer to finish.
- The "Hint" button lights up the place to look.

■ A clock face that is easy to read
- The short hand and hour numbers are blue; the long hand and minute numbers are red. Times in the questions use the same colors.
- A rainbow ring in the center shows which hour the short hand is in.

■ Promise Timer (for "five more minutes")
A timer that shows the finishing time right on the clock, like "time is up when the long hand reaches 6". Kids can see for themselves how much time is left for games or snacks. When time is up, the app tells them with sound and voice, and a notification arrives even when the app is closed (notification permission needed).
When your child keeps the promise, a grown-up checks and hands over the key to the treasure box, which holds a reward card.

■ Things to collect
- Stars and stickers for clearing lessons
- Reward cards for keeping promises

■ Peace of mind for parents
- No ads.
- No sign-up or login. We do not collect your child's information, and progress is saved only on this device.
- A grown-up check (a quick multiplication question) appears before any purchase, before opening the treasure box, and before opening any page outside the app.
- A "For parents" page with tips for practicing at home and on/off switches for sound effects and the voice.

■ Price
Free to download. The first lessons (the two hands and o'clock times), the Promise Timer once a day, and some of the reward cards are free to play.
One purchase (no subscription) unlocks the remaining lessons, unlimited use of the Promise Timer, and the rest of the cards, for good. There are no further purchases. If you change phones, tap "Restore purchase" on the For parents page.

■ Languages
Screens and voice are in English and Japanese, following your device language.

■ Good to know
- Keep the app open while using the Promise Timer. If it is closed, the notification may arrive late or not at all, depending on your device settings.
- Played with the phone held upright (portrait).
- The narration is AI-generated synthetic speech.
