Backgammon is a game of skill and strategy; one of the world's classic parlour board games, played for recreation and gambling. Like Mahjong, Backgammon is played in social groups in coffee houses and bars. Historically, variants of this game are believed to have been played in Mesopotamia and Egypt thousands of years ago, then by the Romans and later in India. It also spread to East Asia, but was largely replaced by Xiangqi (Chinese chess). It is now very popular in the West.

Remarkable that it wins 9 out of 10 first rolls, and even more remarkable that it rolls 4 or 5 doubles when bearing off. I have no idea what has gone wrong with this app, but if you want random dice rolls for the computer opponent, try another! And the developer responds saying I mentioned cheating, I did not and neither am I inventing anything. The developer response speaks volumes.
Highest levels too easy. AI constantly accepts very bad doubles, and doesn't concede a hopeless game. The app is fun, but needs to adhere to more serious play.
Great app with no ads!
The best free or low-cost backgammon game I know of on ANY PLATFORM. I prefer playing in an app to playing online. This game has doubling, various skill levels, tournament play, and optional Crawford rule.
I used to love this game and have been playing backgammon for 30 years but the AI will not you win on any level. It will roll twice the number of doubles versus what you roll. It is no longer fun when you can never win. I kept track of doubles every game and it always cheats!!! Uninstalling and looking for another game. Terrible Gsme!!
Fun to play but the app cheats. The update plays the same poor game but cheats even more. One cheat easy to spot is to count your doubles compared to the apps doubles when bearing off. The app gets many more in the long run. That is but just one of its cheats. LOL. In Response the latest version of this game is one of the most aggregous cheaters of all the backgammon games. UPDATE 9/26: Still cheats so I cheat, too. 😆
