The app will periodically disconnect and fail to connect. The camera controller performs poorly. Especially on a $1300 phone. Using the selfie camera isn't optimized for small spaces, it should use the rear .5x lens. It lacks multiplayer support like on the xbox connect despite available processing power. It fails to calibrate unless I pick one of my legs up so my foot comes into frame. There is no feedback for what the camera is seeing.
Can even use the app. Opened it up and no matter how many times I put in the code it only says "error".
Plain doesn't work. It's always giving me an error, claiming my phone and console aren't connected to the same network, which they of course are. Update November 2026: Absolutely not working. Very frustrating.
It's a good idea to play on controller because you could drop your phone on the ground and get broken but I mean you can use the phone to find the song that you want to dance to and I mainly use my controller to score in these just dance games but however I don't find the app useful.
