The Countess herself has invited you to assist her as an expert. Neither the bumpy carriage ride through the misty woods nor the warnings of the locals can deter you. However, what is the truth behind the rumors that the Countess has not been seen for decades and that ghosts haunt the stone halls of Greifenstein?
Once you arrive at the castle, the old walls will not let you go. Only if you pass the tests of the Countess and prove yourself worthy, you can free her—and yourself—from the castle and defeat the curse.
Go in search of the castle's mistress, examine her chambers for artifacts from your predecessors, rummage through the library for clues about the von Greifenstein family, discover mysterious relics in the castle courtyard, solve tricky puzzles in the family crypt, and even think outside the castle—and the game! The ghosts will help you decipher witchcraft recipes, open folios, medallions and caskets, or decipher the strange hourglass. Are you up to the task and can you free the Countess from her seemingly hopeless situation?

some of the puzzles are challenging, very welcoming, I'd rather it be challenging than too easy and go through too quickly. There is a very thought out hint system that allows you to peek for help rather than give you the solution. Excellent Excellent game!!!! Well worth the $ and I played 1 & 2 back to back, I hope there will be another soon
Too many glitches :( essentially unplayable for me. a real shame
Another great EXIT game. I preferred this story to the Ophir one, but they are both great and the hint system is very good. One thing, I think the clue for the middle ring of the hourglass puzzle has it's order mixed up a bit wrong.
Anyone getting a glich when u have to find the ghost in 4 different spot
As a big fan of the physical versions of these games I wasn't sure what to expect from a digital one, however it did not disappoint. My only slight gripe would be the ways hints are counted up at the end. In the actual games if the first hints don't tell you anything you didn't already know, they don't count in your hint total, but all hints are added up here. Taking the last puzzle as an example, I had figured out all the steps bar the shapes but had to use 3 hints just to do that one tiny part
A must try if you like mystery games as well as puzzle games.
