Ratings and Reviews
The Athletic is fantastic!
Good info. Great feature writing
While most of the content remains great thanks to good writers (shout out to Arpon Basu!), the app is getting worse. Home is cluttered with all kinds of content which I find irrelevant when previously I saw more articles on sports or topics of personal interest, but what's worse is the growing amount of auto play video content mixed in all over the place, including mid-article. I personally find that super annoying, as it distracts from what I am reading and makes the experience way worse.
The New York Times couldn't just leave it alone. What was once a great sports source, with deeper, more intelligent writing without any political bias is now just a cesspool of Trump hating rhetoric, extreme left wing bias (which eliminates all facts and credibility)and click-bating articles. You have lost not just my support and money, but a majority of your once loyal subscribers are leaving. A business model that follows all other left wing "news" outlets into failure. Get back to sports.
I subscribe to the athletic primarily to read the articles written by Jeff Zrebiec on the Ravens. His work is fantastic. However, over time, I've found articles by other NFL beat writers to also be informative and high quality.
Enjoyed the free version, LOTS of content.
