the fact they have made every article subscription only ruined the app completely and turned me off completely! profit driven only now and don't care about anything but money! pathetic! deleting and will use the plethora of FREE websites and YouTube channels chronicling Detroit and Michigan based sports ONLY! Way to go in pushing away another customer!
Almost every article is behind a paywall now. I can't even read about a public health scare without paying. What a joke!
Done with this app. The app itself is pretty good, but now that OVER 90% of the articles are behind a paywall, I'm done. Freep already makes a profit from their current advertising. This is just a grab for more $$$.

So, the Detroit Free Press has chosen to use headlines that are from the Nashville Tennessean about the University of michigan sign stealing story. And this article was written by a college student who is studying journalism. Wow! Talk about lazy. Since when is a college student the authority on Michigan football and since when does the Detroit Free Press use stories written by a college student from Nashville as their headline. Where are their actual sports writers?Update the app sucks goodbye
