Afterplace has been designed from the ground up to be a fast, fluid, beautiful experience for mobile. There are no virtual buttons. You can move and attack by touching anywhere. You can tap objects directly to interact or attack, use two thumbs like a traditional controller, or control the game with a physical gamepad. The game will adapt dynamically to your play style. Pick up and set down the game at your own pace, it will always save your progress. Afterplace is made to feel like a full-fledged indie adventure game that fits in your pocket.
About the Author:
Afterplace is made by one person, Evan Kice. A former software engineer from Austin TX, Evan quit his job (to the dismay of his friends and family) and has been working full time on Afterplace since early 2019. The initial game released in December of 2022, but Evan plans on continuing to support and polish the game when he can!

genuinely phenomenal game. I don't know what else to say other than it's really, really good. if you can go in spoiler free, you will have an insane experience that I haven't had since my first play though of Undertale. it's always a special experience when you play something that makes you question how endless the options are, how many branches and outcomes you aren't seeing. this game isn't endless, but it might as well be on your first play though. play this, support the dev, do it do it do-

a beautiful little hand-cut gemstone, in a sea of plastic. I was just looking for something non cancerous to kill time here and there. I ended up MAKING time specifically to spend with this marvelous little story. It has lovely story development, charming art, and responsive, intuitive controls. my favorite was the soundtrack, though! 🩷 I wasn't expecting to feel so deeply for such tiny individuals, but i nearly cried a few times. Thanks for creating something beautiful.
If you like interesting characters, deep storyline, insane game coding seriously my guy how did you do that alone, interesting battle mechanics, literally anything. I'm obsessed. I can't tell you how good this game is. This only has 5 stars for a reason. My biggest tip is go back and talk to everyone. There's a lot of dialogue and hidden things to find and it's all worth it. Read every book in the library. Play this game and then yell with me about it. aaaa
