Excellent for listening to epubs of books that never had an audiobook version, or where the audiobook is awful. Like the selection of voices & create voices, & the ability to add pronunciations. Would very much like a widget in a later version. Edit: Still loving this great app that keeps getting better. No more crashes or audio artifacts & introducing degrees of expressiveness is wonderful. Still waiting for a widget tho'!
It's a great idea and can see how it can be useful. I use it for leisure reading and not studying so my experience may be different. I found that the AI just blasts through the words, there are no pauses really and makes it seem too robotic. A human can make scenes more tense or exciting with tone and infliction, dramatic pauses however the AI pales in comparison. Plus it's expensive as hell, for an unsatisfied experience.
I legit am NOT giving ANY ✨ to this app!!! it's a 3day TRIAL!!!! THEN YOU PAY MONTHLY OR YEARLY.....
so disappointed as it started off really well. But now it doesn't work, and I can't get any support because all they have is a nonsensical chatbot saying the same thing over and over again, and they won't reply on Instagram. An app has to be supported by real people. What a let down.
unfortunately the best app I've found for this type of thing. I'm someone who likes to import fanfics into this app. it's honestly changed my life in a way because instead of turning on music I go for this app instead. So why such a mid tier rating? well the hour limit is absolutely insane to me. I'm not saying there shouldn't be one I mean I'm not ignorant I know that ai has a large cost, but 10 hours a MONTH? really? I just can't get over that. I'd say an hour a day with ads between chapters.
I love this app. I am an author, and I just had it read my book to me with the voice of Sir Michael Caine, and it was awesome!
