I respect and support your descion not to rename Trump's ridiculous renames of bodies of water. I will no longer use Google maps. I grew up on the Gulf of Mexico, I made an income fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. Your decisions have lead me back. Thank you MapQuest!!!! At one time I relied on MapQuest printed out directions, long before I had a smart phone. Back when the traveling was having a MapQuest print out and a Road Atlas.
This app is amazing, firstly, because it is way more updated thra Google maps even. The voice navigation is great as well. Can you guys Please add offline navigation capabilities to this app? That would make it really good. Thanks to the Devs for the amazing app!
it kept telling me to go down the alley instead of the actual street
I really wanted to use MapQuest as an alternative to Google maps. I disabled Google maps on my phone but unfortunately, a few times over the last few months I've tried searching for something (or somewhere) and mapquest comes back with no results. So, much to my disappointment, I keep having to enable Google maps again and use it instead. Sigh :(
Wanted to give this a fair chance in the quest of de-Googling my devices. In the current state the app is just not well optimized. When running MapQuest the device gets noticably hot with significantly higher batter drain compared to Google Maps. Will give it another try after a couple of updates. Besides that the experience is pretty good.
better than Google maps
