app never shows the right direction so what's the point of giving location permissions!? what type of scam are you running that my fare will expire the same day that I purchase it?! this company gets worse every year.
MTA is a greedy, shady company that uses your devices location and AI to scam the working man out of $8. this app is NOT CONVENIENCE, it is SURVALENCE!!!!!!! Do NOT install this app, use Google maps or the web browser instead. it used AI twice to fine me $8 TWICE, meanwhile I had no problems showing the conductor the ticket onboard. use paper tickets instead.
Faster, more efficient way to ride the train while saving paper and time with not having to buy actual tickets
went to buy tickets, said purchase failed, processed again and was charged twice. not able to submit for refund. bad experience
The policies imposed since January 2026 are ridiculous. Not only are "legacy" accounts removed (aka using any email to sign in - They want your phone # or Gmail account only...and I presume Apple account on iPhone), but they got rid of the 60 day expiration for a digital ticket that should NEVER expire. The value shouldn't degrade over time. They made it so it expires at 4AM the next day. On top of that, there's a surcharge for late activation? What? It already expires at 4AM anyway. Ridiculous
Inaccurate. Did not correctly address day light savings times, and departed trains showed as upcoming and scheduled delaying most passengers over an hour. complete confusion. app also charges extra fees, save money and hassle, get paper tickets.
