Birdfy

DISAPPOINTED - wonderful bird feeder concept, but the provided camera is inconsistent. It seems to pick and choose when it wants to function, and yes, it's less than 30 feet from the router. I have RING cameras surrounding the entire exterior of my home, and they never drop coverage at greater distances. My thought is to simply place a RING camera in the feeder for better consistency. As for the bird ID, I'll pick up the bird book I purchased and finally utilize it.

I just bought this yesterday. I get a lot of birds a day, even doves, but since I got this it only picks up traffic and wind swaying it. One bird was on it for a few seconds but it was in the shade so it couldn't is the bird and nothing since. I'm gonna put my old one back and just watch from the window.

At first it seems to work, I had a lot of trouble getting it to connect and for some reason it finally connected. When it is working it seems to work good, I've been getting a lot of alerts on birds and a squirrel that seems to eat the food everyday. However, after several months it randomly emits a screeching tone and there's nothing I can do to shut it off. it is triggered by motion and now it scares the birds off. I cannot find a solution for it. It is now no longer enjoyable.

the bluebirds have been nesting in our home made blue bird nesting box for 4 years. we bought this one with a camera, I saw the male bluebird look inside 3 months ago and he never returned. And we have not seen a blue bird in our back yard since. I miss them. they do not like your nesting box.

When a bird lands on the bird feeder, I get a notice on my phone. It tells me what type of bird it is. I love my Birdfy. I am not even a bird person, but I look so forward to getting a notice and seeing the birds. I am so glad I have this & I highly recommend.
