Worse with every update. Supposedly it unlocks your profile on the car screen, but it's only worked once (and why does it have to lock every time anyway?) Remote lock & start are hit or miss - same as the entire GM infotainment in 2026.
I pay for the Onstar One services as well as maintaining a fleet account with onstar and I can't seem to get the basic remote app functions for my vehicle. not sure what's going on with this app.
hard to navigate
It has gotten a lot better through periodic updates and Gui changes it works great when it works.It's not Tesla, but it's better than some of the ones that I've had for other e.Vs, I've had a lucid I've had BMW i-four i've have a hummer , I had a kia ev nine , this one is pretty intuitive.
Fair app to remote control functions of my iconic American brand GMC. Maybe they will get a wear OS companion app so that you can start the vehicle from a smartwatch. They need to get the smartwatch app going otherwise they are just run of the mill.
Truck had an update and now Onstar doesnt work and half the time android auto doesnt connect. Cant start, lock, unlock or anything with the app. just tells me 'Failed to send signal, use key to start' called Onstar and they tried sending a signal which failed. I went to a dealership and their advice was "disconnect the battery for 20 minutes and see if that helps. if not make an appointment and come back.
